Hi everyone, I take a question nearly updating some of my Intel Drivers, like the Intel(R) 7 Series/C216 Chipset Family SATA AHCI Controller driver.
I've been searching the web and Intel site, but I can't find the drivers for information technology. I know mine is very out of date and needs updating, simply Windows Update says it'south using the most up to version (Which information technology always says even when we know information technology'due south not truthful), and Intel Hardware Checker app doesn't seem to find information technology.
So I'm very dislocated and was wondering if anyone has a link to the drivers for this controller, or could offer me whatsoever advice delight.

Thank you

Thank you, that is one I establish already, but I was unsure as information technology doesn't say annihilation almost C216. Plus, it says the latest is 2012, but a lot of other sites I establish bear witness updates from 2013 and early 2014 :-\

[Edit] Sorry I should take added my Mobo model: ASUS Z77 Sabertooth. I did bank check the ASUS folio but I was always told to download drivers like these straight from Intel themselves.

Simply endeavour to get the latest version. Is your current driver the latest version? If you're not having problems, go out it equally is.

Just endeavour to get the latest version. Is your current driver the latest version? If you're not having problems, leave it every bit is.

Well I only added a couple of extra SSD'southward to my rig, I benched them after any firmware updates were washed. The results were very ho-hum, and I know 100% that they are plugged into Intel SATA 3 (6GBs) ports with SATA 3 cables. So I checked my drivers as I recently did a fresh install of Win7, and I saw my Intel Chipset drivers are from early 2011.

Yeah I do empathize what yous mean, I would unremarkably take a bench equally a crude guide, merely earlier I did the fresh install of Win seven, my boot SSD benched at around 505MBs Read and 490MBs Write, that was with loads of junk on it. Merely now since the install and my drivers accept gone back to beingness nearly four years out of engagement, it benched half of that speed! One of the new SSD'southward benched slower than a five year old SATA 2 (3GBs) HDD.
I have tested the new SSD's, not including my kick bulldoze, on another PC and they benched at the speed they should and seemed a lot fast in normal use as well.

So I think I definitely demand to update these drivers like I did a couple of years back, just now, I just can't observe them anywhere.

Are in that location any later on drivers - past 2011 - available?

Yes, I had them before my fresh Bone install, I call up mine were from 2012/2013, and I have seen people with versions as recent as 2014. Merely.... I tin can't find them anywhere and I take really search hard :-\

The latest Chipset drivers on the ASUS site is from early on 2012 which is a start, but while searching the spider web, I found a few sites like Lenovo, DriversCape, e.t.c.. that have more up to date versions from 2014. I'm just not sure if they would be uniform with mine and if sites like DriversCape are condom to use.

Brand certain you've got good virus protection like Avast and Malwarebytes before diving into some of those sites. Lenovo should be OK.

But wouldn't the Lenovo drivers exist specifically for Lenovo devices??? Pitiful if that's a derpy question, drivers are non my strong adjust.
I mean I would exist willing to endeavour them, but what could event from the wrong or incompatible chipset commuter??? Would exist easy to role back to a uniform ane, or would it be catastrophic??

If you're only subsequently the commuter for that one chip then that'd be OK.
